IP transit is when one entity pays another for the right to transit its upstream network. In this arrangement, one entity is higher than the other in the hierarchy so there is no longer a peering relationship from an internet standpoint because both parties do not benefit equally from the exchange.
When selecting an Internet Service Provider, you will want to know what the download speeds are. Often, ISPs will provide what is known as asymmetrical bandwidth, in which the download speed is faster than the upload speed. This difference can have a significant impact on your performance.

Cloud computing, which underpinned the world’s economy, global supply chains and remote workforces during the coronavirus pandemic, will continue to be an essential target for organizations looking for increased scalability, business continuity and cost efficiency in 2021.
“The effects of COVID-19 will linger throughout 2021, as businesses will look to lay a foundation for increased agility,” said Dustin Milberg, field chief technology officer for cloud services at InterVision, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based IT service provider and AWS Premier Consulting Partner. “Cloud will take a key focus in this goal, given its benefits of improved accessibility, scalability and flexibility.”
But those companies who view cloud as a journey and not a destination will see more success, according to Milberg.
“This is because simply ‘getting to the cloud’ doesn’t automatically mean you’ll see improved performance and spending,” he said. “Instead, cloud is an iterative process of optimization and creating security by design to match your company’s goals, both now and in the long term.”

As major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google, and IBM) continue to drop the prices of cloud instances, they have added discounting options, added instances, and dropped the billing increments, in some cases, to per second billing. This blog provides you the virtual instances' pricing comparison to help you choose the cheapest one.
Cloud pricing comparison of AWS, Azure, and Google cloud has always been difficult due to the frequency with which prices change. It’s true that such a variation may only have short-term value in terms of what you’ll pay today for cloud services, but it reveals crucial cost differences you may not have previously identified. And most importantly, it helps you to estimate the budget of your software development project.
On average, compute resources represent 75%-80% of an organization’s cloud spend, and this is because a compute instance is what drives the price you pay. In this blog, we’ll compare the pricing of Instances/Virtual machines: AWS EC2 vs. Azure VMs and Google Cloud VMs.

The fixed wireless industry is experiencing a transformation. Competition is mounting as rural communities are increasingly seeking greater access to faster Internet. Moreover, new technological advancements and regulatory changes are creating more options for fixed wireless providers looking to deliver high quality Internet services. Nevertheless, these new and upcoming developments have put pressure on over 2000 Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) that currently serve over 6 million individuals and businesses in the United States alone. Increasing growth in the fixed wireless industry, investment into services such as 5G, changes in spectrum availability, and the US-China trade war will define the fixed wireless market in 2020.

Sasktoon is a mini hot spot for technology start ups. The prairies are producing some top notch software and services based companies. Saskatoon is dominated by Sasktel for telecom and business internet. Sadly we see a similar situation that has occurred in Manitoba. The local utility has no need to upgrade its networks to support the. Broad band speeds of 30 mbps download with 2 mbps uploads are sadly common. There are many new ISP`s offering both Wireless connectivity via radio or from WISP providers,we also see other Fiber only providers building into Saskatoon to feed this need.Wave Length networks has chosen to make Saskatoon a focus for our own growth. Saskatoon Business owners can access both a best effort coax service delivering 1000 Mbps down with 125 Mbps upload speeds at rates under $200 a month, and if dedicated symmetrical bandwidth is a requirement to keep their business running rates start at $400 per month
